Abstract:
This report briefly introduces the LaTeX document preparation system and then the paper descibes the LaTeX software environment within the Manufacturing Systems Integration Division (MSID) at NIST. The information is principally intended for system administrators and maybe of some interest to users. The means of obtaining LaTeX and related software are indicated. The structure of the system as installed at MSID is described and instructions are provided for system administration. An appendix is supplied which gives the file types commonly encounted when using LaTeX.
