Conformance

Testing to determine whether an implemented system fulfills its requirements against the standard.

Content Standard

Defines business terms – such as orders, schedules, and inventory – with a combination of required and optional information objects specific to a particular industry or sector. XML Schema tools are used to define content standards, also known as [XML Schema] models.

MIP

Manufacturing Interoperability Program

Test Case (TC)

A computer executable script, i.e., the binding of a Test Requirement to a specific implementation.

Test Requirement

A non-executable statement or assertion about the schema.

Validation

The process of determining whether or not the standard at a given phase of its development fulfulls the established requirements.

XML Schema

Provides a means for defining the structure, content and semantics of XML documents. It expresses shared vocabularies and allows machines to carry out rules made by people.
