"Introduction to
Simulation Modeling in Healthcare using ExtendSim"
This is an introductory hand-on tutorial on using ExtendSim to build
simulation models for studying capacity issues in the healthcare
industry. In this hands-on tutorial the students will build a simple
Emergency Department simulation model to study the proper quantity of
registration stations and treatment rooms and see why a discrete event
simulation model is an appropriate tool to study this type of problem.
